The Origin of DBF

CEO and Founder, Deanna East, started her hair growth journey in 2018 during her freshman year in college. After several hundred products, YouTube videos, and styling variations, her hair plateaued at shoulder length from 2019-2021. While Deanna created her YouTube channel, "Glow-in-Peace" in 2020, it was not until 2021 where she created a new and sustainable method of hair growth in which she truly experienced extreme hair growth. In August 2022, Deanna's extreme hair growth tips video went viral...this truly changed the trajectory of her life. With the influx of comments, emails, DMs and more, she realized others had similar experiences to her. Being flooded with so much misinformation and product advertisements, it was difficult to truly accomplish any hair growth, due to the lack of overall promotion of  hair health. Seeing the success of her hair growth and impact on social media, Deanna's father, planted a seed by asking Deanna "if she ever considered starting a haircare business". With the support of her parents, time, dedication, Deanna's Breakthrough Formula was born.
